Wait For The Right Moment [Cyberpunk 2077]
Cyberpunk 2077 might be the buggiest game of the year right now, but it’s also one an absurd amount of people are playing. And I seriously doubt even 1% of players would ever discover how to unlock this special secret ending on your own.
Near the end of the game, your companion Johnny Silverhand asks you who you’ll want to take on your final assault against the overwhelmingly powerful Arasaka corporation. All the choices will endanger at least one of your friends, so you’re given all the time you need to consider your choice.
Well, if you’ve become friendly with Johnny — he’ll offer a special additional choice if you wait long enough. Like, you seriously have to wait minutes without doing anything. Johnny proposes one final one-person assault on Arasaka Tower. And you have to do it in perma-death mode. One life or restart from the beginning. That makes this both a secret ending, a bonus level, and a ridiculously hard challenge all in one.
Tear It All Down [Amnesia: Rebirth]
Amnesia: Rebirth is the creepy continuation of horror classic Amnesia — like the original, you’ll have to creep your way past monsters instead of fighting them head-on. On top of the whole monsters thing, you’ve lost your memory and you’re dealing with a baby that’s rapidly growing in your belly.
The game ends with you facing off against the queen deity of a strange society in an alternate universe that extracts vitae through fear, collecting enough to keep the queen alive forever. She’s a monstrous being that’s mutated into something barely human, and she wants the child you’re carrying.
There are two main endings — you can leave the baby behind, or steal her away and escape. There’s a third option too if you check your inventory. Earlier in the game, you acquired a red syringe that generates a meat-like sludge from yet another dimension. This stuff spreads like the plague, and if you access the obscured control rooms and use this device from a past quest, you can destroy the queen (and yourself) once and for all.
Plumb the depths of 2020 to discover more secret endings on the next page.
