#4 Transistor
Transistor was an indie hit when it initially launched back in 2014. Through the game, players take on the role of a famous female singer named Red who becomes a prime target by an android force. Managing to escape, Red stumbles upon a sword known as the Transistor that has captured her voice. The duo must then work together in order free the world from this nefarious foe.
#3 Knights of Pen and Paper
Knights of Pen & Paper came out in 2012 and it’s often still recommended for players today. It’s a traditional turn-based RPG that plays on the classic Dungeons & Dragons board game. At the forefront at all times is a group of friends playing a D&D game meanwhile as you progress through the story, you’re battling all sorts of creatures. Visually the game looks like an old 16-bit RPG and it’s this unusual gameplay charm that has players quickly sinking some hours into this game. It’s also brought out a sequel several years later in 2015 that is available on mobile devices. In fact, the sequel is at times considered a bit easier to manage overall if you’re looking for something that’s a little less difficult.
