#6 The Banner Saga

  • Android | iOS

The Banner Saga is your traditional tactical RPG that fans have really sunk plenty of hours into. Set in a Viking- inspired fantasy world with beautiful hand-drawn animation sequences along with the art style inspired by the Disney film, Sleeping Beauty, The Banner Saga focuses its story on the player’s decisions when you traverse your caravan across the harsh cold world where they will meet new potential allies or enemies. In fact, the title was such a hit that the development team Stoic Studio went on to make two more installments available turning The Banner Saga into a full trilogy.

Each game offers the same tactical RPG gameplay with a new storytline. There is a slight downside into this trilogy which may make it a bit of a bummer for those of you who strictly enjoy games on mobile devices. While the first two installments of The Banner Saga is available on mobile devices, the third installment, The Banner Saga 3 which came out in 2018, has only been made for PC and video game console platforms.

#5 Titan Quest

  • Android | iOS

Titan Quest is an action RPG that was originally released on the PC platform back in 2006. Overall, the title is set in a mythological narrative where titans have broken free from their captivity and started their destruction of Earth. As a result, players will create a new champion for the planet. You’ll venture into Greece, Egypt, and Babylon among other locations to track down the otherworldly foes and save humanity. If you’re familiar with the God of War franchise, the title does mimic a bit of the overall hack-and-slash style while fighting off other Greek mythological creatures. Outside of the narrative and gameplay, Titan Quest does offer a wide assortment of items to discover and skills that you can upgrade on your character
