#2 The Bard’s Tale

  • Android | iOS

The Bards Tale is one of the more classic RPG video games that fans have been enjoying for years now and for good reason. It’s a great classic action RPG from inXile Entertainment. In 2004 we got a remake of sorts for the franchise and you’ll still find this game making its way out on the latest platforms which in this case, 2011 we saw the game get ported over for both Android and iOS.

Being such an iconic franchise this installment is one of the latest to release in general. Outside of 2004, we finally got a new installment for the Bards Tale franchise in 2017 so over ten years went by for fans, and as it stands this is the only Bards Tale installment you’ll be able to enjoy on the mobile platforms. You could find yourself diving into twenty hours full of adventure with bosses to fight, loot to gather, and a massive world to explore.

#1 Monster Hunter Stories

  • Android | iOS

Monster Hunter is a massive video game franchise and most of you likely know of the series for the various console and PC platform releases. However, there have been mobile versions released as well with Monster Hunter Stories being one of them. It’s a less serious take on the franchise and is oftentimes can be compared to the likes of Pokemon.

Players venture out to find different eggs to hatch unique monsters and from there you take them on a journey using your various allies to battle against other foes that come across your way. The gameplay is also a bit less technical with a system that’s really aimed around three main move sets. With that said, there’s still all sorts of loot to uncover and weapons to forge. This game first got its start on the Nintendo 3DS but has since moved on to the mobile smartphone platform as well.
