The Stanley Parable
- Estimated Time To Beat: 1.5~ Hours
- Available To Purchase On: Steam
One of the funniest games to drop on Steam, The Stanley Parable is a strange little game built on the Half-Life 2 engine. You play as Stanley, and you’re trapped in a choose-your-own adventure scenario, only able to follow a stuffy British narrator.
The goal of the game isn’t following his narration — it’s to break it as much as possible. Instead of following directions, go through the wrong door, or wait inside a broom closet. There are dozens of unique endings to unlock. Instead of shooting, this game is all about testing the limits of video game design.
Streets of Rage 4
- Estimated Time To Beat: 3~ Hours
- Available To Purchase On: Steam
There’s very few things as brutally simple as a fun beat ’em up. Streets of Rage 4 keeps the simplicity intact while adding just enough for modern gamers — and this is the newest game on our list! You’ll punch-combo through gang members, crooked cops, and other colorful characters with friends online or through couch co-op. The game is most fun when played with pals, and it’s a nice quick experience.
Minit
- Estimated Time To Beat: 1.5~ Hours
- Available To Purchase On: Steam
One of the most fun and creative games on Steam, Minit is a fast-paced adventure that looks like a lo-fi Zelda at first glance. This isn’t a dungeon-crawler, though — you’ll only have a minute to explore the world before you die. Using clever shortcuts, you’ll need to complete micro-tasks to reach every corner of the world and lift you curse.
Untitled Goose Game
- Estimated Time To Beat: 3~ Hours
- Available To Purchase On: Steam
Going from one indie puzzler to another, Untitled Goose Game is all about stealth-espionage-action, but you’re a goose instead of a secret agent. As a goose, your job is to cause as much chaos as possible. You’ll honk at shop keeps, ruin gardens, and chase children around while honking. It’s a delightful little game, and a true darling that exploded online after its initial reveal.
