Enhancing Your Forge (Halo: Master Chief Collection)
Forge is one of the best features to come out of the Halo series, and now you can enhance your experience with Forge with these handy mods. The ‘Ultimate Forge World Mod’ gives you access to vehicles and weapons previously impossible to pilot — like the Pelican, Scarab, and more.
To add to the fun, there’s an AI mod that gives you control over NPC allies and enemies that you can plop onto your Forge Map. Instantly create massive battles, and use a huge variety of new vehicles while you’re doing it. It’s basically a dream come true for people like me that played Halo as a kid and wanted the full sandbox experience.
If you don’t know how to unlock Forge early in Halo: Reach, use this mod to make it easy.
Super Smash Bros. Melee 64 (Super Smash Bros. Melee)
We end our 2019 list with something extremely weird — a demake of Super Smas Bros. Melee that turns that incredibly popular party game into a pixelated, low-poly Nintendo 64 throwback. Why? Why not!
The mod doesn’t just swap out character models, it also changes the stages and stage music to better match those lo-fi games of old. Still, this mod runs on the Dolphin emulator, so it isn’t exactly the same type of PC mod we’ve been looking at. You can download the Dolphin Gamecube Emulator here to get started.
