Grenade Launcher (Resident Evil 2)
Claire Redfield’s trusty Grenade Launcher isn’t exactly new — this is the same weapon that appeared in the original Resident Evil 2 way back in 1998. But, the insanely gruesome graphics of the RE2 Remake turn this weapon into something completely different.
Using the Grenade Launcher with Acid Rounds causes zombies to literally melt, their skin oozing off and body parts flopping uselessly on the floor. It’s completely disgusting, and it launches a kinda-lame weapon into the stratosphere.

The Gun (Disco Elysium)
Disco Elysium isn’t a shooting game. It’s barely an RPG — but your gun can literally change the fate of your story. Disco Elysium is an incredibly detailed indie adventure-RPG, where you play as a volunteer detective as he tries to solve a murder in a troubled fantasy city.
You start the game with no gun at all, but if you manage to find this basic revolver (and that’s a big if!) you can use it to drastically change your circumstances. No, you can’t just shoot anyone you want — but this gun is so critical, it earns a spot on our list.
