Synergy Attacks are an important part of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, and the game never really tells you what all the combinations are.
Every special skill you unlock for your characters has an attribute — there are 15 Synergy Traits, and some abilities have multiple traits. By combining these traits, you’ll unleash Synergy Attacks. Learning which characters to pair together for the most power is an important skill you’ll have to learn to succeed in MUA3.
To make that task a little easier, here’s a list of most of the available Synergy Attacks we’ve found so far, and a show description explaining what they will do.

How To Perform Synergy Attacks | All Power Combos Guide
Synergy Attacks are special skills that you can chain-together with two characters. You can initiate one instantly by holding down [RT] and selecting a high-lighted attack, or you can press [A] when an ally is performing an attack you can synergize with.
The game doesn’t tell you every Synergy Attack, so I’m going to list all the combos below.
Synergy: Elemental Barrage = Barrage / Area Assault + Whirlwind / Burn
Send a tornado or elemental slashes to slice through the enemy!
Synergy: Coalesce = Burn + Whirlwind
Generates a burning tornado.
Synergy: Catalyst = Bash + Burn
Blows enemies away at a greater range.
Synergy: Crash = Barrage + Area Assault
Generates intermittent shockwaves that deal damage to enemies in the area.
Synergy: Scatter Shot = Rapid-Fire + Rapid-Fire
Projectiles from a rapid-fire attack will explode on impact, dealing area-of-effect damage.
Synergy: Surge = Launch + Launch
Launches a massive shockwave that throws enemies in the area into the air.
Synergy: Shockwave = Bash + Bash
A powerful shockwave with expanded range.
Synergy: Tremor = Slam + Slam
A powerful ground quake that damages enemies in the center of the blast, and causes all enemies on-screen to stumble.
Synergy: Resonant Blast = Beam + Beam
Launches a huge blast that generates a sphere of energy at the point of impact, dealing damage to nearby enemies.
Synergy: Eruption = Beam + Explosive
Causes any Beam attack to explode with more power than usual.
Synergy: Mega Blast = Slam + Explosive
Launches a big explosion made-up of smaller explosions.
Synergy: Calamity = Whirlwind + Bash
Generates an exploding tornado that deals damage to enemies in the area.
Synergy: Reflect = Beam + Safeguard / Area Assault
Shoots a beam that scatters in all directions and deals damage.
Synergy: Ricochet = Rapid-Fire + Safeguard / Area Assault / Whirlwind
Shoots a series of rapid-fire projectiles that scatter in all directions and deals damage.
