Mortal Kombat 11: How To Get All 3 Elder God Amulets | Dragon Amulet Grotto Puzzle Solution Guide

April 29, 2019 by Kevin Thielenhaus

One of the biggest mysteries in the Mortal Kombat 11 Krypt has been solved. Here’s how to complete the Dragon Amulet door’s puzzle.

After using the Dragon Amulet and unlocking the door on the mountain pass near the Forge, you’ll find a strange puzzle. The Krypt in Mortal Kombat 11 is full of mysteries, and solving the puzzle in the Dragon Amulet Grotto is one of the trickiest we’ve encountered so far. After lots of digging, exploring, and fatalities — we’ve finally found the solution.

You’ll need to acquire three Elder God Amulets. These amulets are pretty tricky to get. Only one of them is simple — you’ll probably get Kronika’s Amulet accidentally while exploring the Krypt. The other two are way, way harder. If you’re looking to unlock the final room of the MK11 Krypt, here’s how to solve the weird puzzle.

How To Solve The Dragon Grotto Puzzle

After placing the Dragon Amulet in the door between the Naamkaran Shrine and the Forge, you’ll encounter a puzzle in the underground. There are three switches, with three slots to place amulets. Use the levers to rotate the circles until the amulet slots are available.

You need to place three amulets into these slots — Elder God Amulets. There is one for Kronika, Shinnok, and Cetrion. Learn how to get all three amulets below. If you don’t know how to get the Dragon Amulet and unlock this area, check out our guide here:

How To Get Kronika’s Amulet

Kronika’s Amulet is the easiest amulet of the three to acquire. When you first encounter the Naamkaran Shrine, donate any amount of money — the first item you get is the Kronika’s Amulet.

How To Get Shinnok’s Amulet

To get Shinnok’s Amulet, you must craft it at the Forge by combining three key items. You don’t need the recipe to do this — just combine these three items and you’ll get Shinnok’s Amulet.

  • Dragon Eye: Kytnn Hive – Kill spider enemies in the cave until you recieve this item.
  • Demon’s Heart: Pull down hanging corpses on the island. Randomly, you’ll get this heart item.
  • Skeleton Soul: Dead Woods – Unlock the 10,000 Soul Fragment container.

How To Get Cetrion’s Amulet

To get Cetrion’s Amulet, you need to place Cetrion’s head on the matching spike in the Warrior Shrine.

In the Warrior Shrine, there are a series of spikes and face markers. To place a head on a spike, you need to get 50 Fatalities / Brutalities on a character in the Klassic Towers or Towers of Time.

The fastest way to get tons and tons of Fatalities / Brutalities in a Tower is by playing the Klassic Survival Tower. These battles are only 1 round, and you can get a brutality fast. Then just reset and repeat.
