7: Don’t Dismantle / Sell Everything! Keep A Few Items For Projects
While crafting and purchases don’t really become useful until the endgame, you won’t want to simply junk every single item you don’t want anymore. There’s a new feature in The Division 2 called Projects. Completing projects will enhance settlements, making them more useful than before. To complete projects, you’ll need to donate resources, stop enemy events, and turn-in items.
Any items will do. The projects usually only require generic items like “gloves”, “chest armor”, or “holsters” — and it doesn’t matter what level they are. Stash a few random items you don’t need, just incase a project appears later.
8: Inspect Guns To Instantly Equip Them From The Ground, Or Swap Guns In The Menu
The Inspect option is incredibly handy when collecting loot dropped by enemies. Press [D-Pad Up] to open the Inspect menu. From here, you can instantly equip weapons (so you don’t have to swap to the inventory) or switch between your equipped weapons. Press [Triangle / Y] to swap weapons in the Inspect menu, that way you won’t swap out the weapon you’re currently holding.
