18 Best Steam Winter Sale Games Of 2018 You Can Grab For Less Than $18 Each

December 23, 2018 by Kevin Thielenhaus

Keep up with the latest releases and grab some stocking-stuffers in the Steam Winter Sale — here’s my top 18 sale picks for best (and cheapest) games that released in 2018.

Mothergunship – $24.99 $12.49

Another rogue-like? Yes and no. In this fast-paced FPS, you’ll take on quests to invade a variety of alien spaceships, collecting gun parts to build massive weapons on-the-fly. The fun of Mothergunship is seeing what ludicrous guns you can create on every run. Progress is easy, and there is a true ending to the adventure, making this much better for those that don’t like restarting after every death.

FAR: Lone Sails – $14.99 $9.74

A beautiful piece of audio-visual adventure. In FAR: Lone Sails, you play as a lonely traveler on a steam ship, going to some unknown location. To keep your ship going, you’ll need to find fuel — and locating a huge supply feels incredible as you fly across the barren lake beds. If you’re a fan of games like Inside, Limbo, or even Journey, you won’t want to miss FAR: Lone Sails.

Iconoclasts – $19.99 $13.99

One of the most polished and fully-featured Metroidvania adventures in years — Iconoclasts puts you in the shoes of a young engineer as she sets off on an epic quest to fight an Empire and stop an alien menace that just might destroy the planet. The bosses are insane, the dungeons are incredibly elaborate, and the game is just packed with the kind of details only an obsessive one-man development team could pull off.
