18 Best Steam Winter Sale Games Of 2018 You Can Grab For Less Than $18 Each

December 23, 2018 by Kevin Thielenhaus

Keep up with the latest releases and grab some stocking-stuffers in the Steam Winter Sale — here’s my top 18 sale picks for best (and cheapest) games that released in 2018.

Middle-Earth: Shadow of War – $49.99 $12.49

Return to Mordor, and start hunting Orcs in a greatly expanded sequel to Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor. It’s been a long year, and Shadow of War has received a ton of updates addressing fan complaints. Microtransactions have been removed, and the controversial final act has been shortened considerably. If you’ve been holding back, now’s a good time to give this game a try.

Moonlighter – $19.99 $13.39

In this charming indie rogue-like, you’ll manage a store by day while raiding randomly-generated dungeons by night. The dungeons are modeled after classic Legend of Zelda locations, and the difficulty never becomes unmanageable. It’s a chill and extremely addictive adventure. You’ll want to sell just a little more — and get those prices just right.

Yakuza 0 – $19.99 $13.39

Going back to the ’80s might just be the best decision this long-running series has made. This prequel takes you back to an economic boom period of Japan, showing the origins of many fan-favorite characters as they navigate a dark, criminal underworld. The story is one of the best in the series, and the fighting system has been fine-tuned to perfection. Don’t miss it.
