We Happy Few: 18 Tips To Help You Escape Wellington Wells | Beginner’s Guide

August 12, 2018 by Kevin Thielenhaus

Explore the secrets of Wellington Wells with a few helpful beginner tips. Here are18 things you should probably know before hopping into We Happy Few.

#15: Rob Safes & Public Phone Boxes For Quick Cash

Cash isn’t that useful in We Happy Few — really, you only need it if you use the local stores. Stores are located in the civilized sections of Wellington Wells. Or, you can find miscellaneous items in vending machine. There’s a vending machine in the Eel Pie Holm hatch you can easily access from anywhere if you’re looking for random crafting materials.

But, we’re not here to talk about purchasing. We’re talking about cash — called sovereigns in this game. To find them, you’ve got two steady bets — you can either break into stranger’s houses and hope they have a safe, or wander the wastrel / plague territory and crack open every phone booth coin box with a jimmy bar for a few extra coins. Public Phones are one of the only steady ways to earn pennies. Just don’t let the locals see you stealing!

#16: Check The Local Stores Daily For New Stock

The civilized areas of Wellington Wells have stores. Each area usually has one store, and these stores carry a wide range of items. It’s probably best to save your cash for the really useful items though — but purchase things as soon as you can if you see something useful.

Vendor stock is pretty randomized, and vendors will get a whole new inventory every 24 hours. These stores are closed after curfew, and they’re usually guarded by a much, much tougher bobbie. If there’s a specific crafting material or item you want, check the local stores daily — or go to bed and sleep 24 hours to see what’s for sale tomorrow.
