30 Fortnite: Battle Royale Secrets & Settings The GAME DOESN’T TELL YOU

May 26, 2018 by Kevin Thielenhaus

Stay competitive in Fortnite: Battle Royale with 30 secrets and settings you really need to know. From controller configurations, to graphics settings, to in-game secrets, here’s all the vital information the game doesn’t explain..

#2 You Can Unlock More Styles For The Carbide / Omega Outfits

There are two unique Season 4 outfits — Carbide, and Omega — that are totally special in the canon of Fortnite: Battle Royale rare cosmetics. Not only can you unlock these super-power suits that look really awesome, you can upgrade them too. For each upgrade you can, the outfits become more armored (and more badass) but it takes effort.

  • New Carbide Challenges unlock at Season Levels 10, 20, 30, 40, and 65.
  • New Omega Challenges unlock at Season Levels 25, 35, 45, 55, and 80.

With both the Carbide and Omega suit, you’ll also unlock a special challenge — called the Carbide Challenge and the Omega Challenge. Complete these challenges to unlock fancier versions of that particular suit. You can even go back to the older versions of the suit in the Locker tab. All suits and upgrades are purely cosmetic. They won’t protect you in-game.

#1 But The Black Knight Armor Is Still The Best For Sneaking

The Black Knight Armor is a coveted set of all-black gear that’s become the de factor best outfit for sneaking. Stealth isn’t exactly a thing in Fortnite: Battle Royal — unless you’re sniping underneath a tall tree on a hill.

Most players don’t bother to adjust their brightness settings, and if you want to get sneaky sniper kills, you can’t do worse than the Black Knight Armor. If you don’t have it already, lookout for it in the daily / weekly Cash Shop. One of the best places to hide is under green trees — look for hills with nice sight lines, and don’t just build ramps up to the top of the hill. Ramps are a dead giveaway to your location.

While no one has been able to unlock him yet, the Omega suit looks like another pretty good ranged stealth option. The red neon might give him away, though.
