30 Fortnite: Battle Royale Secrets & Settings The GAME DOESN’T TELL YOU

May 26, 2018 by Kevin Thielenhaus

Stay competitive in Fortnite: Battle Royale with 30 secrets and settings you really need to know. From controller configurations, to graphics settings, to in-game secrets, here’s all the vital information the game doesn’t explain..

#6 You Can Replay Old Battle Pass Challenges…

If you’re jumping into an on-going season with a purchased Battle Pass, you’ll be able to unlock everything up to the current week of the Season automatically. That includes previous Weekly Challenges and Blockbuster Challenges that, if you bother to go back, can unlock quick Battle Pass Tiers, especially if you’re running late and want to catch up before the Season is over.

As of this writing, we’re on Season 4 — there’s no way to go back and unlock challenges or cosmetics from previous Seasons, unless the items appear in the daily or featured slots in the in-game storefront. If you’re looking for something old, save up your V-Bucks and check out the store every day. You just might find that outfit you’ve wanted from Season 2. They’re only available for a limited time, so act fast or you might miss out for a very long time.

#5 … and earn Free V-Bucks

Speaking of spending V-Bucks. V-Bucks are the currency of Fortnite: Battle Royale, and as you unlock your Battle Pass tiers, you’ll sometimes earn a quick infusion of V-Bucks. It isn’t a whole lot, but it’s enough to offset some of the Cash Shop prices. The amount of V-Bucks you earn is dependent on seasonal rewards — if you’re curious, check out the Battle Pass rewards list and scroll forward to see when (and how many) V-Bucks you can possibly earn.

If you’re tired of chasing V-Bucks, you can also purchase them. Generally, V-Bucks cost about 10$ for 1,000 V-Bucks. For purchasing larger packs, you’ll get more “free” V-Bucks. For purchasing the 60$ V-Buck pack, you’ll get 15$ of V-Bucks included — for purchasing 100$, you’ll get a whopping 35$ free. If you’re looking to buy  a whole lot of stuff in the near future, that’s your best bargain.
