The Surge: All Armor Sets Breakdown | Equipment Guide

May 25, 2017 by Dennis Patrick

A breakdown of every armor set in The Surge.

Here’s a quick rundown on all the armor sets available within The Surge. With a heavy influence of players swapping out armor pieces and crafting new sets to enjoy during your gameplay, each complete armor set does come with some slight incentives.

Depending on the situation, these armor sets may be well worth investing the time and effort to collect. As stated, here are all the armor sets available within the game.

Note: We’ll continue to update this list when new armor sets are discovered.

Note: To receive the bonus effects from these armor sets, players will need to equip all of the armor pieces for each set. This would mean having matching Arm, Body, Head, and Leg gear.

Operator Class

Lynx

  • The Lynx suit is something you can find very early in the game. While it lacks in defenses, the suite has the benefit of increasing attack speed.

Liquidator

  • This particular suit can be found with enemies that lurk around toxic areas. The benefit from the Liquidator suit is that players will have increased elemental resistance.

Chrysalis

  • The Chrysalis armor suit is something that players can get a bit easier towards the end of the game. With this particular suit, players will find the ability to regain health when they kill an enemy.

Ironmaus

  • The Ironmaus set can be found within a vending machine at Central Production B. Player who have equipped a full suit will find that the gear will cause your drone’s anti-kinetic shield to also increase your stability.

Sentinel Class

Scarab

  • This particular set can be found through enemy drops within Central Production B. Having the full suit equipped will increase the effects of all Vital Boost implants.

MC Gorgon

  • The MC Gorgon suit can be found by security officer drops after completing R&D. This particular suit allows increased stamina regeneration.

Elite Hazard

  • Players will locate the Elite Hazard suit from enemies that equip a flamethrower or grenade launcher. Having a full suit will give players drone the ability to vent a cloud of toxic gas.

Goliath Class

Rhino

  • The Rhino suit can be one of the starting gear pieces for players. With the full suit equipped, players will have a boost in weapon damage.

MG Cerberus

  • Dropped from enemies within the Outer Sewers, the MG Cerberus suit will allow an increase of defenses when players are at a high level of energy.

Proteus

  • Found through enemies at the Utopia Loading Bay, this Proteus suit will allow passive health generation and increases all healing effects.

Bloodied Proteus

  • This particular armor set has the same bonuses as the normal Proteus. However, this set can be dropped from enemies at the Restricted Projects.

Black Cerberus

  • This set is obtained through dismembering the Black Cerberus boss. Having a full set will allow the increased damage when players are at a high level of energy.
