Breath of the Wild – How To Solve All Shrines | Ridgeland Walkthrough

March 31, 2017 by Kevin Thielenhaus

On WiiU & Switch: Go on a guided vacation through all eight shrines in the Ridgeland region. Get all the maps and puzzle solutions right here.

Table of Contents – Ridgeland Shrines

  • Shae Loya Shrine
  • Mogg Latan Shrine
  • Zalta Wa Shrine
  • Mijah Rokee Shrine
  • Sheem Dagoze Shrine
  • Maag No’rah Shrine

Toh Yahsa Shrine – Buried Secrets

To unveil this hidden shrine, travel to Ludfo’s Bog and move north to enter the Thundra Plateau. It’s easy to spot — enter the area with permanent storm clouds in the sky. The location is just northwest from Ridgeland Tower. Entering the area will begin “The Trial of Thunder” shrine quest.

The goal is to collect four colored orbs and place them in four input pads at the center of the plateau. There’s just one problem — two of the orbs are outside the central island, and getting them onto the raised ruin is tricky.

  • Red Orb: Find this on a statue head east of the main island.
  • Orange Orb: On a high statue head north of the main island.
  • Purple Orb: In the central island, right next to the purple input pad.
  • Blue Orb: Also on the central island, on a high statue above its input.

Take the red orb to a small island north of the main island, then Stasis and attack it to launch it onto the main island. Do the same for the orange orb. To knock the orbs off their high perches, use Stasis and hit them with a few arrows.

Place each orb into the corresponding input pad to reveal the shrine and complete your quest.

Inside the shrine, you’ll get a glimpse of cracked weak blocks and the altar behind a locked gate. The solution is simple — start bombing! Bomb all the cracked blocks near the entrance to reveal a metal block, then bomb all the blocks beneath the altar to reveal a large floor switch.

Place the metal block on the floor switch using Magnesis to open the altar gate.

  • Optional Chest: Right next to the metal block’s original position, blast the weak block beneath the entrance platform. There’s an alcove with a chest right there. The chest contains the Rubber Armor, so you won’t want to miss it.

You’ll need to use the metal block to reach the ladder leading to the altar gate. Simply re-use it to reach the altar ladder, then grab it again with Magnesis to place it on the floor switch again. Now you’re home free to get to the altar.

  • Optional Chest: Before leaving, glide onto the high pillar from the altar gate.
