Breath of the Wild – How To Solve All Shrines | Ridgeland Walkthrough

March 31, 2017 by Kevin Thielenhaus

On WiiU & Switch: Go on a guided vacation through all eight shrines in the Ridgeland region. Get all the maps and puzzle solutions right here.

Table of Contents – Ridgeland Shrines

  • Shae Loya Shrine
  • Zalta Wa Shrine
  • Mijah Rokee Shrine
  • Sheem Dagoze Shrine
  • Maag No’rah Shrine
  • Toh Yahsa Shrine

Mogg Latan Shrine – Synced Swing

The shrine is located on top of Satori Mountain, south of Hyrule Ridge. It isn’t on the summit, but your shrine detector should help you track the shrine down.

There’s a unique gimmick in this shrine — swinging platforms hanging by chains. Grab the platforms with Magnesis, then draw the platform back using the [Up / Down D-Pad] buttons.

Carefully position the platforms so they start swinging,  allowing Link to hop on and ride across each gap. It’s pretty tricky getting the platforms to swing properly — take your time and set the platforms up slow.

Across the first two platforms, Link will encounter a raised drawbridge. Shoot the two ropes holding the drawbridge up to get across.

  • Optional Chest: This chest is easily visible on the right after crossing the drawbridge.

Past the drawbridge, you’ll reach a narrow walkway with metal spiked balls. Don’t bother swinging them, instead just grab each spiked ball with Magnesis, one by one, and slip by. Don’t leave it to physics!

  • Optional Chest: Found behind the last spiked ball on the long passage full of spiked balls.

At the tracked path, grab the metal platform with Magnesis and pull it close so Link can jump on and ride it down the sliding track. Next, you’ll need to grab four metal platforms to create steps that lead up toward the platform at the end. Position the platforms like steps so Link can jump / climb onto each.

  • Optional Chest: Find this hard-to-see chest at the far end of the metal block steps challenge. Create a lower path using Magnesis to get to this rupee chest.

Climb up the metal block steps and you’ll have two options — shoot the moss with a fire arrow or hit the switch to produce two hanging lanterns. Use Magnesis to get the lanterns swinging, then shoot the rope with an arrow to drop the lantern onto the moss, starting a fire that will spread to the wooden barrier.

When the fire goes out, use Magnesis one more time to pull the large metal doors open.
