Zelda: Breath of the Wild – How To Solve All Shrines | Faron Walkthrough

March 28, 2017 by Kevin Thielenhaus

On WiiU & Switch: Take on the Eventide Island quest, explorer an entire optional village, and enjoy time under the falls with all 8 Faron shrines.

Table of Contents – Faron Shrines

  • Shoda Sah Shrine
  • Yah Rin Shrine
  • Muwo Jeem Shrine
  • Kah Yah Shrine
  • Tawa Jinn Shrine
  • Shai Utoh Shrine
  • Qukah Nata Shrine

Korgu Chideh Shrine – Korgu Chideh’s Blessing

For this shrine, Link will need to reach Eventide Island. Glide and swim from Cape Cales, or use a boat and a Korok Leaf to reach the far-off island on the far southeastern corner of the map. Once you reach the beach, you’ll begin the “Stranded on Eventide” shrine quest.

All of Link’s equipment will be removed and you’re now tasked with finding three orbs and placing those orbs into three ancient pads. To get started, find the Bokoblins on the beach. Use Magnesis and slam it into the explosives as the Bokoblins run for their weapons to clear the enemies out. Grab the chest to get a Traveler’s Sword.

Go to the southwest corner of the island to find the first pad. It’s guarded by a large group of Bokoblins. Wipe them out with a bomb to the explosive barrels when they scramble for weapons, and finish the rest off. Use the Bokoblin Spears from the first camp and attack the fire to add a flame effect to your wooden weapons.

There are three pads — one pad is located on each of the three points of Eventide Island. Getting the orbs is the trickiest part.

  • Orb #1: Find this orb in the Bokoblin treehouse camp on the eastern shore of the island. Grab the Woodcutter’s Axe from the bog in the center of the island.
  • Orb #2: To get the next orb, you’ll need to kill the Hinox down the hill from the southwestern Bokoblin camp on the peak. Roll boulders, use Magnesis and metal objects, and grab a Soldier’s Bow from the chest near Orb #1. Get five arrows from a chest in the northeastern point of the island.
  • Orb #3: The last orb is on the tallest hill of the island. Be prepared before sneaking up — cook some healing and come with a shield. Lure the Bokoblins and Moblin to the explosive barrels and detonate them with bombs. It might take two bombs to wipe most of them out. The orb is on a tower, near the last altar.

The altar on the water is tricky. You’ll need to throw the orb into the ocean and use cryonis to fish it out and throw it onto the pad. Don’t forget to use campfires to rest if you’re stuck late. Wait until morning to avoid annoying skeleton attacks.

To clear the heavy slab from the altar at Koholit Rock, defeat an Octorok and get one of its balloons. Hold the balloon in your inventory and place it on the slab to lift it up and off the altar.

When all three orbs are returning to their altars, the shrine will appear and all of Link’s gear will be returned. For all the effort, you’ll get a free treasure chest and an easy altar.
