Zelda: Breath of the Wild – How To Solve All Shrines | Faron Walkthrough

March 28, 2017 by Kevin Thielenhaus

On WiiU & Switch: Take on the Eventide Island quest, explorer an entire optional village, and enjoy time under the falls with all 8 Faron shrines.

Table of Contents – Faron Shrines

  • Shoda Sah Shrine
  • Yah Rin Shrine
  • Muwo Jeem Shrine
  • Tawa Jinn Shrine
  • Korgu Chideh Shrine
  • Shai Utoh Shrine
  • Qukah Nata Shrine

Kah Yah Shrine – Quick Thinking

Travel east from Lurelin Village to Palmorae Beach. There, you’ll discover the Palmorae Ruins — with two very visible ancient, neon-glowing, orange input pads. Talk to Garini to start his Shrine Quest “A Fragmented Monument” — Link needs to find three missing monument pieces and take photos of each.

The monument pieces give off a blue neon glow at night, so it’s much easier to locate them when the sun goes down.

  1. The first monument shard is is to the right of the ruins (while viewing the map) in a small groove in the cliffs.
  2. The second monument shard is to the left of the ruins. On the beach, there’s a pile of wooden refuse near an outcropping of rocks. The shard is on the rocks.
  3. The final monument shard is under a tree at Soka Point.

Take the photos back to Garini to help him translate the stone. The mystery of the glowing pads will be revealed — to solve the riddle, crouch at the center of one of the pads. Wait a few seconds and Garini will join Link to make the shrine finally appear.

That isn’t the whole shrine, either. There’s a puzzle to solve here. On both sides of the chamber, there are two tracks with four barrels. The goal is to get one barrel to the end of the track, place it on the button, and open the gate to the chest. You’ll need one small key to open the gate to the altar.

The left track is simple — grab a barrel and step onto the moving platform. Place it down and crouch to avoid the low wall, then quickly pick it up again. Place the barrel on the glowing floor button to open the gate to the chest containing a small key.

  • Optional Chest: Before leaving, Link can solve the right track puzzle to get a bonus treasure. Place a barrel on the moving platform, then use arrows to shoot the switch after passing through the first open gate. Hit the switch to open the second gate, then turn around and shoot the switch again to open the third gate.

Open the door to the altar with the small key to exit the shrine.
