In an upcoming episode of Game Talk Live podcast, Sony Online Entertainment president John Smedley revealed the existence of their new zombie post-apocalyptic MMO H1Z1. A few minutes of early gameplay will be shown on the publication's video interview that willl be posted tonight.
"H1Z1 is an MMO that allows players to take on the role of an apocalypse survivor who is in a world that is filled with zombies," Smedley said in the podcast. "A world! Not just a little tiny server."
It is unknown whether the game will be featured during the annual SOE Live event. However, Smedley promised on Twitter that the full version of the game can be played soon. He also pointed out that players will be able to burn trees and other people's forts. There will also be vehicles and he hinted that possibility of having aircrafts.
The title of the game is reminiscient of the actual swine flu virus called the H1N1. In addition, H1Z1 was an actual zombie flu hoax in 2009 and the name was officially trademarked by Sony in January.
This may be a perfect time to sign up for an All Access Pass when it goes live on April 16th. The pass gives players access to all of SOE's PC games for $14.99 a month.
Right now, SOE published a teaser site for the game but there are no details available as of the moment. If you want to know more about the MMO, listen to Game Talk Live's podcast and interview with Smedley at 8 pm ET.
