Brian Jarrard, the community manager at 343 Industries, took to the Xbox Wire to announce that a demo for the recently released Halo title, Halo Wars 2, will be available to Xbox One starting today.
As mentioned above, the demo is available right now for Xbox One users, while Windows PC will have to wait a little while longer. The demo includes a first look at the campaign with mission one, “The Signal,” as well as Blitz Firefight where you can test your mettle against waves of AI using a pre-built deck of cards from Captain Cutter or Atriox.
If you are interested in giving Halo Wars 2 a try, all you need to be is a Gold subscriber and have an account and viola! The game can be tested at your own pace.
Halo Wars 2 takes place in the year 2559 and will see the return of the human crew aboard the UNSC warship Spirit of Fire. Once again this is a real-time strategy title, but this time around players will be up against a new faction known as the Banished.
Halo Wars 2 is available right now, but if you’re on the fence on if you should pick up the game then take a look at our latest video installment of Before You Buy. This is our series in which we go over the game and offer our opinions on if it’s worth a purchase or not.
Halo Wars 2 is available now to purchase on both Xbox One and PC Windows; this title is a Xbox Play Anywhere game.
