Yacht Club Games Finish Specter of Torment Development; Aiming for March Release for Switch

February 20, 2017 by Jordan Biazzo

Specter of Torment is set to release on all platforms, including the Switch!

Yacht Club Games announced at 2016 The Game Awards that they have been working on some new content for the hit game, Shovel Knight. Well, over the weekend, the developers tweeted out announcing that the game is finally completed.

The Specter of Torment is the newest piece of add-on content for Shovel Knight. While Plague of Shadows followed an alternate parallel campaign, Specter Knight travels a new path in this amazing prequel. It’s your mission as Specter Knight to recruit the Order of No Quarter for The Enchantress! Specter Knight’s campaign truly is his own adventure, and we can’t wait for everyone to get their hands on it this Spring.

Not only did Yacht Club announce that there are done working with the game, but they have also given fans an update on when to expect the title. Specter of the Torment will make its debut on the Switch, which they plan to release in the month of March. While other platforms will have to wait until April.

The team at Yacht Club are very excited for the launch of the new add-on. The Specter of Torment DLC is a huge piece of the puzzle to the Shovel Knight story. The devs are super excited to finally launch their expansion out to the public, for both newcomers and veterans alike.

Really excited about Specter Knight! So much great new stuff from everyone on the team. We hope you give it a try, and enjoy the game too!
