Microsoft and THQ Nordic has announced that they will be partnering up to release a physical version of Halo Wars 2 for the PC.
The two newly announced physical versions of the game will come packed with goodies for players. Both the standard and the physical edition will come with a code for the game, a couple of disks, and premium quality packaging.
Dan Ayoub, 343 Industries Studio Head of Strategy Games Development, knows that some fans love to get their hands on physical copies of a game, so he is very excited about partnering with THQ and bring such an awesome package to the players.
“For fans who love to own the box, we’re excited to partner with THQ Nordic and bring Halo Wars 2 to physical release on Windows 10,” stated 343 Industries Studio Head of Strategy Games Development Dan Ayoub
THQ Nordic CEO Lars Wingefors had this to say about the partnership:
“After working on so many titles together with Microsoft in 2016, we are stoked to start the year with another partnership,” THQ Nordic CEO Lars Wingefors said in a statement. “Being able to deliver such a big franchise to RTS and Halo fans alike, the opportunity to buy and own this game in a beautiful physical shape is something we appreciate a lot.”
The Ultimate Edition of the game comes with everything the standard version comes with, however, players will also get a Season Pass, Halo Wars: Definitive Edition, and access to the game four days early.
Halo Wars 2 will be available on both PC and Xbox One on February 21.
