There has been a lot of talk about the latest generation of consoles and the upcoming updated models set to launch. One of the consoles that have been highlighted before the E3 event this year was Sony’s PlayStation Neo. While Sony had confirmed the upcoming console, they declined to bring it up during their Sony E3 2016 press conference briefing. Now new reports are stating that the PlayStation Neo and an upcoming PlayStation 4 Slim will be shown off at this year’s Tokyo Game Show.
Microsoft seems to be the only one willing to show off what’s to come with the release of their Xbox One S, a slimmed down version of the Xbox One with 4K video support and HDR gaming, along with their upcoming Project Scorpio, an updated Xbox One console with enhanced components.
Both Nintendo and Sony have new hardware in the works, though neither opted to showcase the upcoming consoles at this year’s E3 event. Although, we’ll finally get to see the reveal of Sony’s upcoming PlayStation Neo console along with an announced PlayStation 4 Slim soon according to one Wall Street Journal.
Takashi Mochizuki reported in the Wall Street Journal that a Sony analyst believes Sony will reveal their PlayStation 4 Slim console along with their anticipated updated console at the Tokyo Game Show this September.

For now, there have been no comments made from Sony on the matter, though if the reveal is set for the Tokyo Game Show, we should start to see more reports of these consoles popping up in the coming months.
