Another game that was leaked this past week got an official announcement today. Today at the Microsoft E3 Press Conference, Halo Wars 2 was revealed to be in development by 343 Industries and Creative Assembly. The last game came out back in 2009, so it’s nice to finally see the series getting a proper sequel after quite a few years.
For people who forgot, Halo Wars is a real-time strategy game where you command Halo universe vehicles and troops, leading them into war. Halo Wars 2 is advertised as having the “biggest Halo battlefield ever”, coming with 13 story campaign missions for singleplayer folks, but also having the multiplayer modes and matchmaking features for up to six players. But you don’t have to wait long to get your hands on the game. You can play it right now, in fact. Starting today on June 13th, and all week, you can play the multiplayer beta for Halo Wars 2 and try out the next entry into the Halo Wars franchise.
Halo Wars 2 launches for Xbox One and PC on February 21st, 2017.
