Two images that were leaked last week from “XBLA watchdog” lifelower offered a look at the future of the Halo Wars sequel. Just recently today on Reddit, a user by the name of “nullfurious” leaked an album that they describe as the game’s open beta. The initial title image connects back to the leak provided by lifelower, which makes it appear that this leak is legitimate. But in the case of internet rumors, who knows for sure.
The timing of the leak being right before E3 makes it seem as if we can expect some sort of announcement at the Expo next week about this game. The original Halo Wars came out back in February 2009, and in recent years people have speculated that Microsoft and/or Bungie would pursue a sequel at some point, given the success of that first game.
