Nash Weedle has shared a rumor that will break the internet, but for completely different reasons than it would originally have.

He came onto Twitter to claim that Sony has a State of Play scheduled on September 3. When asked further, he clarified that this is a general State of Play, and not for a specific game such as Marvel’s Wolverine.
This rumor comes over a month after Sony announced they would stop making physical disc games for the PlayStation platform. The announcement received hostile reactions from fans, retailers, game developers, and even governments, but Sony claims their profits have been unaffected by the backlash so far.
This creates an awkward situation for Sony’s partners. Since the announcement, PlayStation social media has been inundated by angry reactions from consumers demanding that Sony change their mind. Regardless if this will affect Sony’s bottomline, this could adversely affect their ability to promote games.
In fact, some fans believe they already scared Rockstar from promoting GTA 6 with Sony. Bungie fans already successfully invaded the last State of Play’s community to demand Destiny 3. This time, Sony & their partners can expect even more toxicity.
