Former Rockstar Games Rival Suggests Co-Op For GTA 6

November 26, 2025 by Todd Black

He’s also doubling down on the price statement he made…

One thing that we’ve made almost painfully clear over the last month or so is that EVERYONE has an opinion about what’s going to happen with GTA 6, for better and for worse. Yeah, it’s been a lot to deal with, and we’re a little tired of all the back and forth that some people are doing. Yet, there are some who keep getting asked about the title, so they keep giving familiar answers mixed in with new ones. For example, you might remember a guy named Clint Ourso, who helped head up the Saints Row franchise once upon a time before Volition got shut down. He was the guy who said that Rockstar Games’ upcoming title totally should be $100.

Well, in a new interview with Gameshub, he said it again:

“One is probably more than we should be paying for video games. But everything’s going up and development costs are going up. GTA is absolutely worth even a hundred dollars. I would pay for GTA because it will be worth it. And if they don’t do it, that’s the other thing, right? The model they choose, they don’t try to nickel and dime you later with all this stuff.”

That’s a subjective thing to say, especially since there are certain titles that have been incredible in 2026 that some people “likely would’ve paid more for,” but they’re glad that they didn’t, as it allowed them to save money. The controversy will continue on for a long time, but we’ll shift focus to something else that Ourso said. Specifically, he had an idea for what could be a fun gameplay feature in GTA 6: Co-Op.

“As a gamer, I think that would be a fantastic world to open up. I think to have co-op fun and to play with friends, then from there you can grow on more.”

Now this is a suggestion that has serious merit, and the best part about the upcoming game is that it’s something you could do somewhat easily, due to the title having two main characters. As such, when it’s time to go into the overworld, you could have someone play as Jason and the other play as Lucia, opening up options for how you take on the overworld, how you partake in missions, etc. Yes, that would mean more work for Rockstar Games, but it’s also something fresh that could help take the game to the next level.
