NBA 2K26 cover athlete Carmelo Anthony has officially entered the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
As we observed last week, it was a great way to cap off Melo’s career after he recently called it quits. Before the weekend started, he got to enjoy himself in a House of 2K event in the heart of New York.
2K Games congratulated Melo on their Twitter account. They said this:

Melo’s Basketball Hall Of Fame Speech
Surrounded by his peers Dwayne Wade and Allen Iverson, Melo shared an emotional speech, but showed he was on the ball on the mic too.
We’ll share some excerpts here:
Tonight, I don’t just step into the Hall of Fame. I carry with me the echoes of every voice that ever told me I couldn’t.
I walk with the shadows of every alley, every cracked court, every empty plate.
I stand for the dreamers, the doubted, the dismissed, for every soul trapped in a place where I broke free from.
… We didn’t have much, but we had a dream. And if you were lucky, we had someone telling you not to give up on it.
More often, what we heard was, ‘That ain’t for you, don’t aim too high, ‘Melo stay in your lane.’
When you grew up in the shadows, you either get swallowed up by them or you learn how to shine away.
… You are the quiet whisper inside you that says, ‘I know there is more for me in this life.’ Hold on to that voice. It will be tested.
Melo also thanked his family, his old teams, friends and loved ones.

We can now confirm Melo’s 2K Rating for NBA 2K26. As you can imagine, he got the All-Time Player treatment.
As an All-Time Player, Carmelo Anthony got a 2K Rating of 95. He also has 15 badges in total. Two of these badges are Hall of Fame level.
2K is still fair, giving Melo a 55 for his Standing Dunk and for his Blocks. He also has a 45 in his Intangibles.
Still, Melo is a strong athlete with 80s and 90s in most of his attributes.
As an All-Time Denver Nugget, he can play either Small Forward or Power Forward for the team.
This will likely be the best representation Melo will get in NBA 2K, so if you’re a huge fan this is the time to pick up the game and live out your own dreams, like he did.
