May 24, 2016 by Nick Monroe

The Life is Strange developers tell a tale about the Stranger Life of Vampires.

This game first showed up back in Feburary, but new details about Vampyr haven’t resurfaced until recently.

From the developers of Life is Strange comes an action-RPG set in 1918 London. In Vampyr, you become Dr. Jonathan Reid. He’s forced to choose between his morals as a doctor, and his newfound desire for blood that calls out to him. You’re tasked with helping the people of London deal with the Spanish Flu, while balancing out your Vampyr beast inside.

Feeding on others is how your Vampyr character evolves and progresses. It’ll enhance your movement, survival skills, persuasion abilities, and combat moves. You’re going to end up killing some people in this game, but it comes down to choosing who to kill. For example, killing a town doctor causes the health of his patients to deteriorate as a result. Choices have consequences.

You’ll be able to see Vampyr in action during E3 from June 14th – 16th. They have an official website that’ll be coming soon, and according to that page, Vampyr will release on PC, PS4, and Xbox One sometime in 2017.
