May 20, 2016 by Ian Miles Cheong

The world of Mirror’s Edge is huge and fully explorable.

DICE’s upcoming free-running action game Mirror’s Edge Catalyst is said to offer a huge open world environment. According to the developer, the entirety of the city will be explorable to the player. Thus far, they’ve only shown the Anchor district, but the actual game will comprise of more areas when it comes out next month.

The studio released an interactive 3D map to showcase the game’s Anchor district. It’ll be expanded further in the coming weeks, says DICE.

We recently played through the game’s closed beta and shared our impressions—we think it’s fairly promising, provided the full game lives up to what the beta offers.

The game will be out on June 7 across PC, Xbox One and PS4 platforms. It was originally slated for release this month, but its developer decided to postpone the release to add an extra layer of polish.
