Nintendo fans are getting ready. Next month, we will finally get our hands on the Switch 2. It’s a game console that we’ve been waiting on for a good while. Fortunately, the wait is winding down. However, if you want to enjoy some of your OG Switch games on the new console, you know a few will have upgrade packs. These will typically cost you a little bit of money. However, we’re discovering that 12 Switch games won’t cost you a penny for an upgrade.

The idea of paying for an upgraded Switch 2 game version might not be very appealing. Some games might cost you $10 while others could demand $20 for an enhanced version of the game you already own. So, that’s been a hot topic among fans who are getting ready to pick up their Switch 2 console next month.

However, Nintendo has taken to its official website and confirmed that 12 games right now will get free upgrades. Whether this was due to the reception of some upgraded titles costing money or if Nintendo is just looking to give players something to enjoy on the Switch 2 outside of launch titles is a mystery. But we’re all for getting a good deal, and you can’t beat free.

You can get enhancements to these games just by performing a system update with the Nintendo Switch 2. The updates for the game might also vary. So we’ll list each game below, along with its enhancements as noted on the official Nintendo website.
