CD Projekt Red had quite the rollercoaster ride with the release of Cyberpunk 2077. After its horrible launch, it finally got back into a place that was praised by fans. Now, we’re finding out that there is a spin-off game coming out to the public. Don’t get too excited because it’s not a typical game release. Instead, this is an arcade game, so you might have to keep an eye out for when this cabinet launches.
Thanks to Insider Gaming, we’re learning about Cyberpunk 2077: Turf Wars. This new arcade game is coming from LAI Games, which typically develops games for arcades and amusement parks. From what we know so far, it will feature three game modes: a story campaign, co-op/versus, and a sniper mode. It also aims to be immersive.
With guns to wield that will fire physical projectiles, haptic feedback, and lighting, the game looks like it’s trying its best to put players right into the action of Night City. However, we don’t know when players will be available to toss quarters into.
At the moment, the LAI Games trailer only gives us our first brief look at the game. We don’t know when exactly it will launch for parks and arcades to pick up. Still, it’s likely something a few players would be keen to check out if they see it in the wild. Then there’s always the hope that we might see a home console port released if it succeeds.
At any rate, CD Projekt Red is busy with a few projects right now. For instance, we know that they are working on The Witcher 4. That will likely be the next game we see released from the studio. Meanwhile, we also know that the developers are working on a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, though we don’t know anything about what this installment will entail.
