Grand Theft Auto VI is a behemoth of a video game, and it hasn’t even dropped into the marketplace yet! The game will break some records, and it’s likely going to be a title talked about for years to come. However, the question on everyone’s mind is when we are getting this game? At the same time, Rockstar Games continues to work silently on this next GTA installment. Now we’re learning that a supposed developer offered “confirmation” that we’re still on track for 2025.
Now, take this news as nothing but a rumor right now. However, it’s a comment made that had the GTA community talking. Over at Reddit, we’re finding out that a comment was made by a user account claiming to be a developer at Rockstar Games. Overall, the comment was talking about the previous trailer leak. If you recall, the first and only trailer available for Grand Theft Auto VI leaked online a day early.
Recalling this period, the supposed developer noted that it was a mood killer as it messed up their plans to see the trailer released. They went on to talk about how management was not happy, and it made for just a strange atmosphere in the studio. As mentioned, some comments were made on the game’s actual release.
We don’t have a release date or a narrow launch window. However, the user did note that they were working on what will be 2025’s biggest release. So, if this happens to be legit, we’re still getting this game before 2025 officially wraps. Of course, the comment was since deleted, leaving more speculation that this was done because of their ties to game development.
Rockstar Games has been keeping a tight lid on their work and any updates to Grand Theft Auto VI. Fans will just have to continue speculating and reading into supposed leaks. For instance, there was speculation recently that we might see a new trailer next month. Likewise, a supposed leak might have given insight into how radio stations will work in the upcoming game.
