Until Dawn fans might have been interested when they learned a movie adaptation was in the works. However, if you have been keeping tabs on this game, you know that this adaptation is not necessarily faithful to the game. Instead, the movie is taking elements from Supermassive Games’ horror title and delivering a new experience for fans to sit in on.
The movie is set to launch this April, and today, Sony’s Pictures Entertainment YouTube channel released a new trailer. If you’re interested in the movie or just looking to find out more about it, check out the latest trailer below. It’s another small taste of the horrors you’ll watch as a group of friends attempt to escape an untimely gruesome death.
In this movie adaptation, we follow a group of friends aiding a young woman named Clover. When Clover’s sister mysteriously disappears, the group ventures to a remote town in hopes of finding clues as to what happened. However, they end up trapped in a time loop as they attempt to fight off a new killer each night. As they quickly learn, their only hope of survival is to make it to dawn.
As mentioned, the movie will be released on April 25, 2025. While the game is not a direct adaptation of the horror game, PlayStation Studios is attached to the project in hopes of turning another successful IP into a film. Just how well this one turns out remains to be seen, but it could lead to more players checking out the video game if they haven’t already done so.
In terms of the video game, Until Dawn is available to play right now on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC platforms. But as for the movie, you can check out the latest trailer released in the video we have embedded below.
