Pokemon is such a behemoth of a franchise. There is quite a bit of content to enjoy. We have even seen the IP dabble into mobile games, and there have been two mega-hits players are enjoying. After Pokemon Go, which caught the world by surprise with how many players were roaming around in search of virtual Pokemon to catch, the franchise found another heavy-hitter success on mobile. Pokemon TCG Pocket has a strong following, with players actively collecting cards and battling friends.
This game has been around for a little while now. However, if you were feeling a bit burnt out on the game, the developers gave you a new reason to pick it back up. Pokemon TCG Pocket just added the new Mythical Island expansion. Previously, players were given three different booster pack types to open up. These would range from different Pokemon that players could potentially acquire. However, the new Mythical Island expansion with its booster has just added 68 new standard cards into the mix. VGC noted this also includes secret cards and new EX cards.
This is just the start. I’m sure the developers at DENA have plenty more in store for players as we move on to the upcoming year. We previously reported that Pokemon TCG Pocket will eventually have 5,000 cards within its Dex. That is quite a collection for players to seek out.
