The Witcher 4 Will Feature A New Voice Actress For Ciri

December 16, 2024 by Dennis Patrick

Jo Wyatt is not stepping back into Ciri’s role.

Last week, we got our final big gaming event out of the way. 2024 is wrapping up, and most of you are likely aware of The Game Awards. It’s a significant event and typically the final one for the year before most everyone is off for their holiday breaks. The event kicked off in a major way with the first real reveal of The Witcher 4. But this time around, we know that the main protagonist is Ciri. If you found that the voice sounded slightly different than when we last saw her, it’s because we’re dealing with a different voice actress.

Previously, Ciri was voiced by Jo Wyatt. After the trailer reveal, The Gamer managed to get with CD Projekt Red to learn who is voicing Ciri in this trailer. According to the statement provided, Ciara Berkeley was the voice actress this time. The development studio noted they were impressed with how the actress voiced the character and her vocal acting skills. It’s the team’s feeling that this actress will bring Ciri to life in a way that will be both faithful to the character and exciting for fans of the series.

The studio clarified that this voice actress will be voicing Ciri in the full game. So, this wasn’t a one-off for the cinematic trailer. With that said, we know that Geralt’s previous voice actor, Doug Cockle, will return for the video game franchise. It’s been confirmed that Geralt will be returning to the game.

However, we don’t know just how much of a role Geralt will have this time. Regardless, we’re also left waiting on when we can expect The Witcher 4 to land in the marketplace. That said, we know the next saga for this beloved RPG series has already entered full production. For those of you who are afraid The Witcher 4 will follow a similar launch as Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt Red is hopeful it will ease your worries as they have made several changes to how they develop a game.
