Neil Druckmann Has Never Been More Excited About A Game With Naughty Dog’s Current Project

November 27, 2024 by Dennis Patrick

But don’t expect to learn anything about it just yet.

Naughty Dog has made several memorable games for the PlayStation console lineup. Their latest release came as a follow-up to The Last of Us. One of the key members to help craft some of these incredible games is Neil Druckmann, who has since stepped into the role of the studio head at Naughty Dog. However, we recently learned that Neil has never been more excited about his current game project.

Don’t get too excited yourselves. We know nothing about this upcoming video game project at Naughty Dog. While the studio had recently killed off their multiplayer project set within The Last of Us universe, they are still actively working on other projects. One of the next to come out has Neil excited to see them reach the finish line. This news came from a recent interview on Variety.

Again, we don’t know what the studio is up to at the moment. It was previously reported that while Neil Druckmann is excited about the game project, it’s not up to him when this game gets unveiled. Sony will make that decision, so we’ll have to wait before Neil can publicly express much more than his enthusiasm for the game.

While we don’t know what Naughty Dog is developing, we do know that a live-action series based on The Last of Us will soon debut its second season on HBO. That will begin HBO’s journey to tell the storyline from The Last of Us Part II. However, we already know that the game storyline is far too large for HBO to finish in one season. As a result, we should hopefully see season three get a green light shortly after the new season debuts. That’s just as long as season two doesn’t tank in viewership leading to its untimely cancellation. But let’s just stay positive here for now and hope for the best.
