A short new video has been posted on the PlayStation YouTube channel has shown that Nathan Drake’s voice actor Nolan North has as much difficulty as the rest of us when it comes to leaving the treasure hunter behind with Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.
North is joined by Troy Baker, who voices Nate’s brother Sam in the game, somewhere outside a large building and discusses how he’d scale the outside of the building and steal the valuables inside. When North says he could easily “shimmy up that pole like a gibbon” and grab the loot, Baker behind reminds him that he is not, in fact, Nathan Drake. North doesn’t take it well.
An extended version of the video will be revealed next week. “The Brothers Drake” will be launch on Monday, May 9th at 07:00 PST/ 10:00 EST/ 15:00 BST, the day before the game launches.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is set for release on May 10th, exclusively for PlayStation 4. The game suffered a number of delays, which isn’t too surprising given that eight months of work on the title was scrapped after Amy Hennig departed developer Naughty Dog for EA Visceral, where she’s been working on an unannounced Star Wars project.
Series creators and The Last of Us directors Bruce Straley and Neil Druckmann took over the project in 2014.
It seems the change has worked out for the best, with the game being warmly received by critics as you can see in our review roundup. For more on the game, check out our dedicated tag.
