Stellar Blade just received a very sudden new update, and Eve appreciators will be happy with what the devs have been cooking up. While Shift Up hasn’t released any patch notes, some X posts have pointed out a particular change that sees the main character showing off her assets just a little more.
The 2.4GB update implements wind physics to even more of Eve’s outfits, and as the internet has been quick to notice, this means that the character’s skirts may be compromised. Previously, only a few outfits responded to wind.
Additionally, the update adds some quality-of-life improvements, with players now able to favorite accessories and outfits to make them easier to switch out. It is also possible to top up your ammo at base camps much quicker, and the song from the summer vacation update has been added to the music library.
During this week’s State of Play presentation, it was announced that Stellar Blade would be getting Nier Automata DLC sometime in 2024. The game will also be adding a photo mode later this year, allowing players to pose Eve, change her outfit, and add visual effects to screenshots.
In SHIFT UP’s initial public offering filing on the Korea Composite Stock Price Index in May, the company gave some insights into what’s potentially coming down the pipeline.
“For Stellar Blade, we have plans to introduce new gameplay elements, including downloadable content releases, a PC version, and new intellectual property collaborations,” the document states.
Released for PlayStation 5 on April 26, Stellar Blade sold over 1 million units by June. It’s unclear when the Nier collaboration will be released.
