Exelio, a new crafting survival game from AI Frog Interactive, is coming to PC via Steam in 2025. The Tokyo-based studio behind the new title was founded in 2024 by Atsushi Ii (Patapon) and Kiyoshi Shin (Swords of Gargantua).
‘”In Exelio, players must adapt to an ever-changing environment and face various threats while acquiring the knowledge and skills necessary to survive in uncharted lands,” the game’s description reads (via Gematsu). “At times, you’ll need to engage in combat with unknown creatures. As you explore a world where beautiful nature and harsh realities collide, you’ll uncover the mysteries of the world and forge your own destiny.”
The title will be playable at Tokyo Game Show 2024. This year’s event will be held at Makuhari Messe in Mihama-ku, Chiba City, with over a quarter of a million people expected to attend between September 26 and September 29.
The game promises a diverse world to explore, crafting mechanics, strategic combat, and an in-depth story.
Over 731 exhibitors and 3,190 booths are confirmed to appear at this year’s Tokyo Game Show. In July, Sony Interactive Entertainment announced that it would fully return to this year’s event, breaking five years of PlayStation silence at the show.
“This year we plan to implement a number of measures to increase the number of visitors from overseas,” the event’s official website reads. “We will also form partnerships with travel agencies to allow game fans from around the world to experience a closer Japan and a closer Tokyo Game Show. We hope to create a robust Tokyo Game Show that can meet the various needs of the world, and together we will create a one-of-a-kind event that is second to no other game or entertainment event in the world.”
