There is plenty of hype built up around the PlayStation 5 showcase tomorrow. Several rumors surfaced online that Sony would be coming out with a PlayStation 5 Pro announcement this week. That would also come before the next scheduled PlayStation State of Play event. A leaker who accurately stated the hardware stream date is giving a heads-up on what to expect from the next State of Play showcase event.
Before we get too excited here, this is purely marked down as a rumor. However, an online insider by the name of Brian Potter took to X in late August to confirm that a PlayStation 5 Pro hardware showcase event would happen on September 10, 2024. It’s noted that this would be a quick showcase as well. While Sony didn’t confirm a PlayStation 5 Pro reveal, today they have confirmed a PlayStation 5 hardware stream featuring Mark Cerny, which would run for about nine minutes.
As a result of this announcement, more individuals are looking at another X post from Brian Potter. This insider notes that the next State of Play event will occur on September 19, 2024. During this showcase, we would get focus on indie and third-party games along with the PlayStation 5 Pro. However, Brian stated there wouldn’t be any news on PlayStation Studio titles.
Again, this is all speculation and rumors right now. With their previous remarks being accurate on the PlayStation 5 hardware presentation date, this might be an early insight about what we could expect and calm down any expectations of Sony’s first-party games being featured.
