FromSoftware is a massive name in the gaming industry and has delivered hit after hit. Players are always eager to see what the studio is cooking up next. While we are officially left in the dark about what is coming, a new clue suggests that one of the games FromSoftware is working on is based on the Armored Core franchise. Of course, we’ll have to wait for the official word to come out on whether this is the case. Still, here is what we know so far.
Several projects are currently being worked on at FromSoftware. This news comes from Curtsey of PSU, who noted some details that emerged on FromSoftware’s career recruitment social media account. Taking to X, it seems that FromSoftware noted several projects in the works, and just like any studio, they have put out some requests for applications from various developer roles. We don’t know what all is in the works, but again, thanks to a new report from PSU and The Gamer, some details were translated online.
One of the only projects that can be connected to an established franchise could be Armored Core. It’s noted that FromSoftware had requested concept artists who can work on characters, creatures, and in a mecha style. That has plenty of attention being diverted towards a possible successor to Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon. That said, it doesn’t actually feature Armored Core within the posts, so this is still speculation.
We don’t know just what FromSoftware will have ready for players next. It could be that brand new IPs are coming out from this talented studio, one of which is centered around mecha designs without actually being attached to the Armored Core franchise. Likewise, with as much love as Elden Ring received, there will be a lot of attention to see if the next installment can meet and exceed players’ expectations. Plus we can’t forget the pleas from fans asking for Bloodborne to make a return.
At any rate, this is purely a waiting game right now. If you haven’t played FromSoftware’s Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon, you can view our Before You Buy video coverage below.
