Slitterhead, the next game from Silent Hill creator Keiichiro Toyama and the first game from the team at Bokeh Game Studio, is only a few months away. Ahead of its release in November, a new story trailer shows off the title’s monster-infested world and teases the terrors players will have to confront on the streets of Kowlong.
Players will become the Hyoki, a mysterious being lacking a physical form or memory, tasked with eliminating the horrifying Slitterheads taking over the city. As they explore, they’ll also find helpful allies and organizations with questionable motives.
Check out the official story trailer for Slitterhead below:
“Devoid of physical form, Hyoki’s ability allows him to possess and control human bodies at will, turning the people wandering the city into his pawns,” the game’s description reads. “With this power he can slip through barriers, assume the identity of specific individuals, and infiltrate dangerous areas and organizations. By rapidly switching hosts, he can also traverse the city at high speed.”
First announced at The Game Awards 2021, Slitterhead has been at the top of many gamer’s wish lists for the past three years. Given the legacy of Silent Hill, the action-adventure horror title is sure to make an impression, as Bokeh Game Studio’s Sato Kazunobu has teased that players will be forced to make “sacrifices,” with some of them being “quite nasty.”
Slitterhead will be released on November 8 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
