Xbox Game Pass has been a solid subscription service, and it aims to be accessible to everyone. With the inclusion of the subscription service on the Amazon Fire Stick, even more players are finding access to new video game titles without the need for actual native hardware to run the games. Each month, two waves of new video game titles are added to the mix.
Today, Microsoft unveiled through the Xbox Wire the first Xbox Game Pass wave for August. Typically, we see several games added into the mix, but lately, it’s been dialed back. For instance, this first wave of August only consists of three games. So, for some of you, that might be a bit of a bummer to hear. However, hopefully, these three games will keep you tied over until the next major release on your radar arrives.
Xbox Game Pass August 2024 Wave 1
- Creatures of Ava (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) – August 7
- Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy (Cloud, Console, and PC) – August 8
- Mafia: Definitive Edition (Cloud, Console, and PC) – August 13
Hopefully, those three games might keep you entertained for a good while. But we’ll have to wait and see if there are any surprise reveals for the service between now and the second wave of the month. Even if this is the only set of games coming our way, we’ll still have the second wave coming our way midway into the month, which will bring a few more video games into the mix.
Unfortunately, the announcement of the first wave of games coming to Xbox Game Pass is followed by some games leaving the subscription service. So, if you haven’t played these games yet, here’s your last chance on the Xbox Game Pass service. Of course, the 20% discount incentive is available now to purchase the games before they are removed from the service.
