The newest gacha-infused action RPG from Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail developer HoYoverse is gearing up for its July 4 release. Zenless Zone Zero promises to pull in record numbers for the Chinese company, as the title saw over 36 million people pre-registering by the end of May. Those interested in the game can now pre-load it on their platform of choice, and doing so will net players some helpful rewards.
Pre-loading Zenless Zone Zero comes with a special bonus of nearly 100 free pulls and 80 Boopons, each of which are valuable in-game resources that will give players a useful boost when starting in the city of New Eridu.
Recently, it was announced that the new title wouldn’t launch with as many characters as other Hoyoverse games. In an interview, producer Li Zhenyu explained that the dev team had aimed for “quality over quantity,” though the game’s character list will grow over time.
“Zenless Zone Zero is a brand-new game IP set in a post-apocalyptic metropolitan city. It features an engaging story with a futuristic art style, distinctive characters, and an exhilarating action-orientated combat system. Players will play the role of a “Proxy” and embark on an adventure with a diverse group of partners to conquer the unknown enemies and unravel the mysteries in New Eridu—the last shelter for urban civilization,” the game’s description reads.
Over the past few years, HoYoverse has cemented itself as one of the most influential game studios on the planet. The Chinese developer is now valued at $23 billion.
Zenless Zone Zero will launch on PlayStation 5, PC, iOS, and Android tomorrow, July 4.
