Released in 2023, Lords of the Fallen was a successor to the 2014 game of the same name. Although quite rough around the edges, the game quickly became a fan favorite, and the world of this action RPG still has plenty to offer. Publisher CI Games has announced that a sequel is coming in 2026.
According to a filing shared by Polish site Bankier, Epic will have exclusive worldwide distribution rights to the new Lords of the Fallen game on PC. The rights fo publish and distribute the game globally “on all other platforms, including the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S platforms for which the game is currently in development, will remain with the company,” the filing reads.
CI Games is also working on numerous other projects, and details about the sequel are few and far between. No official title has been announced.
Despite its rough state at launch, Lords of the Fallen sold a million copies in its first 10 days.
“We’re incredibly grateful to the passionate Lords of the Fallen community for their invaluable feedback and ongoing support,” CI said last year. “It’s their unwavering dedication that has made this success possible, and we couldn’t be prouder to share it with them.”
Last month, the game was added to Xbox Game Pass.
“Lords Of The Fallen is a game that’s done by very passionate people who come from the trenches. Our team is 100% in step with the community. That’s why we address feedback concerns overnight. Whenever people say something, we act on it, assuming that it doesn’t contradict our own conditions of satisfaction. And we’ve handcrafted this game,” said HexWorks Creative Director Cesar Virtosu in an interview ahead of the 2023 game’s release.
