Once Human is an upcoming MMO open-world survival game developed by Starry Studio, who had already unveiled this game prior to today’s Summer Game Fest event. We know that this game will toss us into a post-apocalyptic world. Humanity seems to no longer be on top of the food chain here. Instead of humanity being on top, an alien force known as Stardust has taken over. With this alien force, you’ll find that everything has become infected, giving you and the rest of humanity an uphill battle for survival.
With Stardust, humans, animals and even plant life has been corrupted. Those that managed to survive have parted off into small factions. As a result, you’ll probably meet not only some helpful factions that could become useful allies but also the downright evil groups you’ll want to avoid bumping into.
Fortunately, it seems that you can’t be directly affected by Stardust. Instead, you’ll be a meta-human that can resist this contamination to a certain extent. After all, you can still find yourself fighting off these deadly infected creatures, hostile factions, and even your own vitals. That’s right, this is a survival game as well, which means keeping vitals like hunger in check. But if you eat too much toxic food, your HP will dwindle away.
This balancing act of survival will be coming our way this year. Players interested in trying Once Human out can find it available on the PC platform. If you didn’t catch the Summer Game Fest event live, then you can enjoy the trailer that debuted during the showcase down below.
