Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Drops New Trailer For The Indigo Disk

December 7, 2023 by Todd Black

A legendary DLC awaits!

We’re officially a week away from the release of Part 2 of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s DLC combination! Part 2, “The Indigo Disk,” will complete the story of “The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero,” as promised yesterday; a new trailer has been released for the content so that fans can get even more excited about it! But with so much shown in the trailer, what do we make of it all? Well, first, the trailer reemphasized that the game will take players to the Blueberry Academy as part of a transfer student program, and through that program, all new options are available to you.

One of the first things that the DLC trailer revealed once it talked about The Indigo Disk was the ability to do Blueberry Quest, or “BBQs,” for other students and teachers at the academy. You’ll get special points that can be used to improve your clubroom or help bring people from the main game into the academy! Nintendo of America even posted a massive thread about this on their Twitter feed so you can understand more about the process:

In #PokemonScarletViolet The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 2: The Indigo Disk, Blueberry Quests are assigned to students by the school, and completing them will earn you BP. You’ll be able to use BP to add features to the clubroom or invite other Trainers to the academy. pic.twitter.com/D2xaJLyV6b

You’ll be able to take some of these quests alone, and you can bring in a co-op partner for others! There are even quests that’ll let you control Pokemon to get them done!

Easily, one of the biggest “shocks” of this trailer was the reveal that you can attract many of the legendary Pokemon from past titles into the game! All you have to do is earn a certain kind of snack, and they’ll find their way into the Terarium. The trailer showed that there are indeed a large number of legendary Pokemon you can catch! Lugia, Suicune, Rayquaza, Kyurem, Latios, Latias, and more are waiting. So you’ll definitely want to get those snacks.

Plus, in anticipation of this, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will be doing some special giveaways and raids, including letting you capture some rare Pokemon and even getting you a Shiny Lucario and a Master Ball via Mystery Gift!

As for the title “The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero,” there are many hints within the trailer as to what that may be. Such as in the beginning of the trailer, where we seemingly enter a new entrance to Area Zero and find a mysterious crystalized tree! What does it all mean? We’re not sure, but it’s got us interested to try it out next week!
